Born on September 9, 1978, in Richardson, Texas, her early years were marked by the tragedy of losing her mother at a young age. However, she found solace and support in her extended family, particularly her aunt and uncle who lovingly adopted her.
Tamela’s journey of resilience continued as she pursued her education at Texas Tech University, graduating with a degree in marketing in 2003. During her college years, she not only excelled academically but also found love, meeting her husband while both served as senators.
Her career path saw her navigate through various roles, from working in marketing firms to teaching and eventually embracing the full-time role of a mother after the birth of her son, Lochlan Cody Beene. However, life threw her a curveball when she was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer, challenging her in ways she never imagined.
Undeterred, Tamela faced this formidable obstacle head-on, undergoing treatments and surgeries with unwavering resolve. Despite the physical and emotional toll, she remains committed to her journey towards remission, diligently following a strict regimen of diet, exercise, and spiritual practices.
